This was the pilot episode of this new show starring Dennis Quaid. It takes place in Las Vegasin 1960. The summary of this first episode is “While theChicagomob sends Vincent Savino toLas Vegasto take over a casino and uncover a rat, the mayor appoints local rancher Ralph Lamb sheriff to investigate the murder of the governor’s niece.” It looks like it will be entertaining series to watch especially if you like to see an old school cowboy take on the organized crime in a young Vegas.
Huggo on IMBD summarizes this episode as follows: “While Reese leaves his newly acquired dog, Bear, with Fusco who will continue to investigate Alicia Corwin’s death in New York, Reese and Carter head to Bishop, Texas to follow a lead about Root, and hopefully a still alive Finch who also hopefully did not need to divulge how to access the machine to Root in order to stay alive. Reese believes that Root’s real name is Hanna Frey, who went missing in 1991 at age fourteen. In the eyes of the authorities, Hanna, who spent the evening at the library the night she went missing and was reported to have gotten into a man’s car after her stint at the library, is presumed dead. Reese and Carter manage to speak to many of the still alive players associated with Hanna or that evening, including Hanna’s father, Barb Russell the librarian, Sheriff Landry, and Cody Grayson, a boy at the library that night who is a suspect in Hanna’s disappearance since he had previously followed her home. The information they are able to collect – including from some junk mail addressed to Hanna, and from Finch concerning his investigation – leads Reese and Carter in some unexpected directions. Meanwhile, Root continues to use the hot button issues to get the information she wants about the machine from her now two captives, Finch and Denton Weeks.”
Huggo on IMBD summarizes this episode as follows: “Reese is feeling at a loss with Finch having been kidnapped by Root aka Caroline Turing, the woman who the machine had identified as a person of interest, but who had set the machine up so that she could find Finch. Reese however does discover that Finch had set the machine up to use him as the contingency if anything were ever to happen to him, although it takes some deciphering on Reese’s part to discover how the machine communicates the numbers. Reese hopes that the next number will be for Finch as the next person of interest. That’s why Reese is disappointed when he learns that the next number belongs to Leon Tao, an accountant who stole $8 million from gangsters, an arm of the Aryan Nation. With Fusco’s assistance, Reese tries to protect himself and Leon while getting Carter to do some legwork on Alicia Corwin’s death, which is the primary lead they have on Root and Finch. They are unaware that there are other factions working against them, those faction who are hiding aspects of what happened to Alicia. Reese ends up having to do a little negotiating with the machine for its help. Meanwhile, Root slowly divulges to Finch what her plans for kidnapping him are and to what lengths she’ll go to get what she wants.”
“While Nick and Hank investigate the murder of an accountant embezzling from a church, the Grimm tries to reconcile the situation with Juliet, who still doesn’t remember him. Meanwhile, the Nuckelavee makes its move against Nick.” Also in this episode, it was cool to see that the church congregation were all sheep creatures with a herd mentality.
“When a local convict claims he has new information regarding a 15-year-old crime spree, Miami Metro sets out to unearth new evidence on the case. Debra attempts to cure Dexter of his killer tendencies. Meanwhile, the Mike Anderson case leads to the Ukrainian mob and a vengeful Louis won’t stop meddling with Dexter’s life.” In this episode, Debra makes Dexter move in with her so she can watch 24 / 7. Dexter gets Louis alone and drugs him but calls Debra instead of killing him. It is going to be an interesting season to see how Dexter handles the increased scrutiny.
In this horror, mystery thriller “five teenagers head off for a weekend at a secluded cabin in the woods. They arrive to find they are quite isolated with no means of communicating with the outside world. When the cellar door flings itself open, they of course go down to investigate. They find an odd assortment of relics and curios but when one of the women, Dana, reads from a book she awakens a family of deadly zombie killers. There’s far more going on however than meets the eye as the five campers are all under observation.” I loved this movie! What a great, scary fun, experience! I liked Thor in it and all the characters. I totally did not expect this storyline and having Sigourney Weaver show up at the end was a nice treat. I highly recommend watching this movie. You will really enjoy it!

Meanwhile, a lonely resident turns to Gavin for help in her desperate need to find love; and Henry wrestles with whether to give Gavin inside information about an upcoming project.” This show is similar to American Horror Story and in this series “if you could make one wish, what would it be? And what would you do to get it? At666 Park Avenue, all of your dreams and burning desires can come true.”
